WP Build Tour 2025 Kicks Off at SIRT Bhopal with an Enthusiastic First Stop!
The WP Build Tour 2025 officially launched with a bang on 6th June at Sagar Institute of Research & Technology (SIRT), Bhopal, setting the tone for an exciting journey across colleges in Madhya Pradesh. With around 100 students in attendance, the workshop was a celebration of learning, collaboration, and first-hand experience with WordPress — many for the very first time!
About the Initiative
WP Build Tour is a unique initiative by the WordPress Bhopal community, designed specifically for the students of Madhya Pradesh. Through free, hands-on workshops, the tour brings WordPress learning directly to college campuses — empowering students to build a fully functional website in just one day, with no prior coding or design experience required.
Beyond web building — it’s about nurturing digital skills, open-source awareness, and career readiness before students enter the workforce.
Why SIRT Bhopal?
Our first stop couldn’t have been more fitting. SIRT, a premier institute with NAAC A Grade accreditation and NBA recognition for its CSE, CSIT, and EC branches, has long been known for its commitment to academic excellence.
Located in the heart of Bhopal and pioneering engineering education since 2003, SIRT graciously hosted us and showed immense enthusiasm in supporting this initiative.
What Went Down
Led by our passionate team members — Aditya Shah, Amit Vishwakarma, Kapil Arya, and Shivam Mishra, with Aditya primarily facilitating the workshop, the students were guided through:
- Introduction to domains, hosting, and WordPress installation
- Customizing themes and installing essential plugins
- Crafting their very first personal or project websites
The energy was electric. Curiosity filled the room. For many students, it was their very first encounter with WordPress — and the spark was undeniable.
And of course, what’s a good learning day without a little fun?
Students enjoyed burgers and cold drinks, received exclusive WordPress swags, and left the room not just with a working website, but with real-world confidence.

Every student left with a website, but we’ll be selecting one standout project to receive the Best Website Award, to be announced at our next tour segment. It’s our way of recognizing effort, creativity, and potential.
