3. Alternative Option: WordPress Playground
Introduce playground.wordpress.net as a browser-based tool to try WordPress instantly. Ideal for those who face issues with local setup.

This session includes information about plugins, and live setup of a plugin and understanding its functionality.

How to Build a WordPress Portfolio as a Student
- Build a One-Page Website Using WordPress
Guide students to start creating their own one-page website using the WordPress Block Editor (Gutenberg). - Create a New Homepage
Help them create a new page and name it “Home”. - Set the Homepage as the Front Page
Show how to assign the new page as the homepage from the Settings > Reading section. - Design the Hero Section
Add a bold heading, short intro text, and a call-to-action button at the top of the page. - Design the About Section
Add a short bio or description with text and image blocks. - Design the Portfolio Section
Showcase 2–3 sample works using image, column, or gallery blocks. - Design the Contact Section
Add a contact form (from the earlier plugin), along with contact info and social links. - Design the Footer Section
Include site name, copyright, or navigation links at the bottom. - Publish the Page
Review and publish the completed one-page site. - Q&A Session
Take questions and help students with any issues they faced during the build.

Show how to upload, manage, and use images, videos, and other media files within the WordPress Media Library. - Exploring the Setting Section
Introduce students to General, Reading Settings. - Exploring the Themes
Demonstrate the process of searching, installing, and previewing themes from the WordPress theme directory. Guide students to install the “Hello” lets use twenty five rather theme and show them how to activate it from the dashboard. Tell them how to choose good design theme. - Q&A Session
