Internal Testing Group is a friendly, volunteer-run group for anyone who builds, designs, writes, or tinkers with WordPress — from total beginners spinning up their first blog to seasoned developers shipping custom plugins.
We’ve been gathering since 2026, and our goal is simple: help each other make better websites and have a good time doing it. No sales pitches, no gatekeeping — just people who love the open web sharing what they know.
What We Do
Each month we get together for a mix of formats, including:
- Talks & demos — short, practical sessions on themes, blocks, performance, SEO, and whatever the community is curious about.
- Help desks — bring your broken site, your weird bug, or your “how do I even start?” question. Someone here has probably solved it.
- Contributor nights — we roll up our sleeves and give back to the WordPress project itself, whether that’s code, docs, translations, or design.
- Casual hangouts — sometimes the best stuff happens over coffee after the formal bit wraps up.
Who Should Come
Everyone. Seriously. You don’t need to be a developer, own a business, or know what a “hook” is. If you use WordPress or are just curious about it, you belong here. Our members include freelancers, small business owners, students, bloggers, agency folks, and hobbyists.
Get Involved
Meetings are free and open to all. We usually meet on the second Thursday of the month at the downtown community center, with the occasional virtual session mixed in.
