Ntinda is a vibrant suburb of Kampala with several hotels, guesthouses, and Airbnb options that provide comfort and convenience.

2) Travel Around Kampala
Navigating Kampala and getting to the Innovation Village in Ntinda is straightforward, whether you’re arriving from Entebbe International Airport or the city center.
Getting to the Innovation Village from Entebbe Airport:
- By Private Taxi: The most convenient way to travel from the airport to Ntinda is by private taxi. The journey takes approximately 1 hour, depending on traffic. You can book a taxi directly at the airport or use ride-hailing apps like Uber or Bolt. We can also help to arrange pickup for you.
- By Shuttle Service: Some hotels offer airport shuttle services, which can be arranged in advance. This is a reliable option if you’re staying at one of the suggested hotels.
- By Public Transport: For those looking for a more budget-friendly option, you can take a shared taxi (matatu) or bus from Entebbe town to Kampala’s city center and then transfer to another matatu heading to Ntinda.
Getting to the Innovation Village from the City Center:
- By Private Means: If you have your own vehicle or are using a rental, simply follow the directions to Ntinda Complex via Kampala road, then connect to Jinja Road and drive till you get to Nakawa, branch off to the left at the Spear Motors junction and drive straight to Ntinda. The Innovation Village is located at the Ntinda Complex building opposite St. Luke’s Church. Parking is available at the Innovation Village.
The other option from City Center is to use the Wandegeya, Mulago, Kamwokya, Bukoto route. When you get to Ntinda, take the Kisasi Ntinda road towards Nakawa. The Innovation village is just opposite St. Luke’s Church, on the Ntinda Complex Building.
- By Public Transport: Matatus and boda-bodas (motorcycle taxis) are the most common public transport options in Kampala. From the city center, you can easily find a matatu heading to Ntinda or hire a boda-boda for a quicker ride.
- You could also use Uber, Bolt, Farras, Safe Boda/Safe Car options to get you to the Innovation village in Ntinda.
Whichever mode of transport you choose, allow ample time to navigate Kampala’s busy streets, especially during peak hours.
3) Visa Information for Uganda
If you’re traveling to Uganda for the PayDel Summit 2024 from outside the country, you’ll need to ensure you have the appropriate visa. Uganda offers several types of visas depending on your purpose of visit.
Types of Visas Available:
- Tourist Visa: Valid for 90 days, this visa is suitable for visitors attending events, tourism, or short-term stays.
- East Africa Tourist Visa: If you plan to visit Kenya, Rwanda, and Uganda on the same trip, consider applying for the East Africa Tourist Visa. This visa allows multiple entries into the three countries within 90 days.
- Business Visa: If you’re attending the summit for professional purposes, a business visa may be appropriate. This visa is also valid for 90 days.
- If you’re from the East African Community, you will not need a visa as long as you plan to stay 90 days max.
How to Apply:
- Online Application: The easiest way to obtain a Ugandan visa is through the online application portal here. Fill out the application form, upload the required documents, and pay the visa fee. Processing usually takes a few days, so apply well in advance of your travel date.
- On Arrival: For some nationalities, visas can be obtained on arrival at Entebbe International Airport. However, to avoid delays and ensure a smooth entry, it’s recommended to apply online before your trip.
Visa Exemptions: Some nationalities are exempt from needing a visa to enter Uganda. Check the Ugandan immigration website or contact your local Ugandan embassy to see if this applies to you.
