Q. Can my students start a project now and present it at the event?

A. Yes, they certainly can! It’s a wonderful opportunity for them to showcase their creativity and hard work, even if they start now. Every moment is a chance to create something amazing!

Q. Do students who are presenting have to pay?

A. Not at all. Presenting students are our honored guests, and there’s no charge for them to share their projects with the community. It’s our way of celebrating their efforts and contributions.

Q. Can students who aren’t presenting still attend the event?

A. Yes, they’re more than welcome to attend and be part of this enriching experience. A nominal fee of UGX 10,000 is required, primarily to cover their meals, ensuring everyone is well-fed and happy throughout the event.

Q. My students don’t have a project to present. Can they still come?

A. Absolutely! The event is open to all students interested in learning and experiencing the wonderful world of WordPress. It’s a great opportunity to gather ideas and inspiration for future projects.

Q. I’m not a student, teacher, or even a WordPress user. Can I still come?

A. Yes, please do! The event is a gathering of curious minds and enthusiastic learners from all walks of life. Your presence would add to the diversity and richness of the experience.

Q. Any advice for students working on their projects?

A. Yes, there are plenty of resources available to help you on your journey. YouTube tutorials, the lessons on https://learn.wordpress.org/tutorials/, and the supportive WordPress community are fantastic places to start. And remember, the organizers are always here to help guide you.

Q. When is the deadline for submission?

A. The deadline has been extended to 15 March 2024, giving you more time to polish your projects and prepare for the showcase. It’s a great chance to put your best foot forward.

Q. Our school website is already hosted. Can we showcase it?

A. Yes, if it’s a student project, we’d love to see it! It’s an excellent opportunity for students to share their hard work and for others to learn from their experiences.

Q. We’re a primary school. Can we participate?

A. Definitely! We encourage schools of all levels to participate. It’s a wonderful opportunity for younger students to get involved and experience the joy of creating and sharing in a supportive environment.
