We are a dynamic and engaging platform from Uganda – “The Pearl of Africa” where technologists, educators and learners come together to build connections, gain knowledge and skills they need to thrive in the rapidly evolving digital landscape and actively contribute to the advancement of educational technology practices and solutions. 

WHAT WE DO

We customize innovative solutions to address digital divide, education disparities and poverty challenges through a holistic approach — combining Research, Stakeholder Engagement, Contextualization, Technology Integration, Scalability, Sustainability, Monitoring and Evaluation, and Iteration to support underserved communities and provide opportunity for everyone.

What to Expect

1. CONNECTING

  • Online Community: The Edutech Club maintains an online community where members can interact, share ideas, ask questions, and seek advice.
  • Networking Events: The club organizes networking events, both online and offline, where members can connect with like-minded individuals, professionals, and experts in the Edutech industry.
  • Collaboration Opportunities: Members can find potential collaborators for projects, research initiatives, and educational initiatives through the club’s network.

2LEARNING

  • Webinars and Workshops: The Edutech Club hosts webinars and workshops conducted by industry experts and experienced educators to share knowledge, insights, and best practices in educational technology.
  • Skill Development: Members can participate in skill development programs, including online courses, coding challenges, and hands-on projects, to enhance their expertise in various Edutech domains.
  • Resource Sharing: The club is working on maintaining a repository of educational resources, including e-books, research papers, articles, and toolkits, which members can access for self-study and reference.

3CREATING

  • Ideathons, Hackathons and Challenges: The Edutech Club organizes Ideathons, hackathons and challenges focused on developing innovative solutions and applications for educational purposes. Members can form teams, participate, and showcase their creative ideas.
  • Project Incubation: The club provides support and guidance to members who have ideas for educational technology projects. This includes mentorship, access to resources, and a platform to present their projects to potential investors or stakeholders.
  • Showcasing Success Stories: The Edutech Club highlights and promotes success stories and projects of its members, providing recognition and inspiration to the community.
